<The bodyguards on the prosecutor>

Two of the most plausible explanations of the strange behaviors Presidential bodyguards see today.

1) Prosecutors, police or soldiers are nothing more than "things below" to the eyes of the bodyguards who serve the highest dignity. It is a tradition that has never been broken since President Park Chung-hee, so it is hard to break even a civil war. If there is no such attitude toward presidential bodyguards, they can no longer be called presidential bodyguards.

2)It is connected to (1), and no matter the Yoon Suk Yeol goes and who comes as a successor, he will like this behavior, whether it is over-loyalty or whatever.

Why?
This is because no president resists this kind of watertight loyalty.

Since the president is a human being, no matter how well he manages himself, it is not certain what will happen during his term in office. In today's emergency situation, the last guard is the bodyguard pretending to die if he dies for himself. Even if it collapses later, he can only promise to do his best for now.

First of all, U.S. presidential bodyguards do not have this. Of course, the U.S. also has a U.S. Secret Service, which is responsible for presidential security. But not directly under the presidential control. In the past, it was a member of the Treasury Department, but after the 9/11 attacks, it changed to the Department of Homeland Security.

He is a presidential bodyguard, but he doesn't even test his loyalty to the president. He is just a civil servant who is given work. In contrast, Korea's bodyguards feel like "soldiers" who are paid with taxes.

The security office in Korea has never been broken before. The one that broke during the Oct. 26 incident was the Central Intelligence Agency, which said "the perpetrator" of the security incident. The bodyguards were praised even though they risked their lives and did their best. They were treated like "functioners" and never reprimanded for their function.

The result is today's situation.

Should I leave this?

Should I leave it to him again because if a group of misled loyalties changes their owner (to someone I like)?

If you catch a Yoon Suk Yeol, it will be a day or two later, and you should correct the misleading practice this time, rather than crushing it.

You should be reminded that you are not a dog that bites what the owner tells you to do, but a "colleague citizen" on the latter side when the interests of the owner and the interests of democratic citizens collide.

Even if minor mistakes are disciplined in this case and criminal punishment for major mistakes, it should be possible to punish those involved in today's incident.

I am so grateful that the martial law soldiers who stormed the National Assembly on December 3rd were not drones or android, but human beings who watched or talked about the movie 'Seoul Spring' and knew they shouldn't do so.

It is no longer a republic that does not allow humans to find a judgment that they take on common sense, but skips over to 'show me the loyalty shown to Yoon Suk Yeol' as well.
