After the FOMC yesterday, I think the personal sentiment that Powell felt after the FOMC was throwing away just the ambiguity of whether he gave the market a rice cake or not. He also poured out words of hope and words of disappointment. I think I can sort out his words with a few words and sentences. First of all, the words of hope are "it is unlikely the next policy move will be a hike." In other words, the next policy will not be a rate hike. To emphasize it, he stressed, "i'd say it's unlikely."
On the other hand, the term "lack of other progress" was used as an extension of the lack of confidence in interest rate cuts, which means that there was no further progress, which means that there was no additional data on inflation. This means that we're going to keep the current rate for the time being. Higher for Longer....
Another hopeful remark would be that when asked by a reporter about the recession, he said, "I don't see the stag or the flare," "I can't see the recession or the inflation," and that the U.S. economy is strong, starting in June, the largest monthly QT would be reduced from $60 billion to $25 billion. I think that's at least a self-defense of the FED against market participants' concerns about a recession. Anyway, this is a natural increase in market liquidity.
The market closed mixed with Powell giving him both a stick and a carrot. The market, which once rose tremendously, was slightly higher in the Dow and lower in the Nasdaq. It bothers me that a lot of semiconductor stocks that are highly related to us are missing out due to disappointment in earnings and forecasts. How did you feel about watching FOMC was vague, not that it wasn't even a rice cake. Ambiguous... We expect market participants to respond positively or negatively to investments based on their personal preferences. We have no choice but to do as we please. I will try to respond to the market by squeezing out the stones as much as possible because we have to understand each other perfectly. Let's think out of the box (stone?).
