The world is now focusing on the 25% tariffs it imposes on Trump on Canada/Mexico.

Our country is fighting in two because it's a big one and it's a praise of Lee Jae-myung.

Avid believers of rigged election schools and the Korea-U.S. alliance will be waiting for the miracle that archangel Trump will deliver to us. Daughters of dogs on the other side will not even think about anything.

Let's write down some thoughts.

-
The 10% tariff on China is a preview. The decision on whether or not to impose additional tariffs is made after the Trade Ministry's report. (The ministry ordered the government to bring the trade deficit analysis report by the April 1st at the same time as he took office.) Until then, he will be waiting behind the scenes for China's negotiations. What about Xi Jinping's strategy that has lost a lot of face? He is unlikely to take the walk of three battles because face is everything.

I support the South Korea-U.S. alliance, but I believe that we should move with minimal push and pull strategy, as is the case with diplomacy and trade. I think it is not in the national interest to just shout "Light!" and praise it.

For example, I believe that because it is Roh Moo-hyun on the left, the FTA was promoted and the result was signed. For example, hey, American brother, I'm going to be beaten to death in Korea, so I can easily imagine a crying sound to that extent.

(On the contrary, Park Geun Hye, which has a strong support base on the right, succeeded in taking power without hearing internal gunfire even if it came up with economic democratization! Under his regime, both income tax and health insurance premiums were raised.)

-
Korea is a traditional relay trading country and a manufacturing powerhouse. In recent years, Korea's trade with China has decreased a lot (to be decreased further) and trade with the U.S. has increased a lot. It coincides with the Biden administration, such as the Semiconductor Act and the IRA Act, and the Korean government's intentional choice (which clearly goes into the original plan of the U.S. rather than single-line diplomacy), and it also coincides with China's increased competitiveness in shipbuilding, chemical, semiconductor, and consumer products.

There is a reason why Korea rose to the ranks of advanced countries because it was riding a tiger called China. Of course, before that, Park Chung-hee's export-oriented industrialization strategy was followed by Japan's repayment loan and the Vietnam War, and I believe that Roh Tae-woo's normalization of diplomatic relations with China, Roh Moo Hyun's FTA, China-U.S. balance in Moon Jae In (which coincided with Trump), and Yoon Suk Yeol's pro-U.S. were all the right choices.

-
The most important part of Trump's term in office is the reduction of the U.S. foreign trade deficit. (Japan's manufacturing sector is much smaller than Korea's.) So the effect of beating lies in Korea, rather than in Canada. Trump is a very transactional politician and businessman.

However, Korea is also a country that can scratch the itchy part of the U.S. It would be nice if Trump could internally brag about it, and we could find practical benefits in the process. I know it's easy to say.

Originally, the friction between neighboring countries is inevitable. Considering this, the United States and Canada have maintained a fairly friendly relationship.

1) a big difference in power
2) an isolated continent called America
3) North America's short history, and it's focused on the U.S

There must have been some background, and in this process, the United States does not have the ability to Canada, but it is a good friend, and Canada is sad, but there is a part where it did not show.

Having said that… From the perspective of the United States, Canada and Korea have different strategic positions. Canada's main industry is to export resources (metal concentrates such as wood, crude oil, and copper). It is based on this that American voters (especially Rust Belt, where the manufacturing base was important) did not have much dissatisfaction with Canada. They were not people taking away their jobs.
