Samsung Electronics Showing a Sample of Once-Top Companies Broken... Silly Samsung Electronics Politicized the 52-hour Semiconductor Act

1. Lee Jae-myung is expected to pass the so-called "Semiconductor (Special) Act," which focuses on various support from the state for the semiconductor industry and the lifting of the 52-hour workweek. Let me evaluate you as a person who earned some money from the labor law.

2. The core of the 반도체 semiconductor law is the nation's infrastructure, human resources development, tax and special funding, which Samsung Electronics and National Power have made an issue of "allowing 52-hour workweek." It was a foolish act of politicizing the policy debate to revive industries in crisis as a conflict between corporate growth and labor rights, that is, a confrontation between left and right.

3. Samsung Electronics wanted to find its management failure from an external enemy, and at the same time, it agreed with the national power and politicized the Democratic Party, civil society and labor as forces that kill the future. It was a foolish process and decision.

4. The 52-hour workweek is just a political slogan. First, in addition to the 52-hour workweek, the current Labor Standards Act states that unlimited overtime work is possible after obtaining consent from workers and approval from the Minister of Labor. Samsung Electronics' logic is that it is annoying to do it easily, but if Samsung requests approval, would Labor Minister Kim Moon-soo not allow it? It is nothing but an excuse.

Recently, the scope of ordinary wages, which is the standard for overtime work, has been expanded to include precedents, which has led to higher costs. If it were SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics would not be able to do it.

6. Third, would a real talented person work 7-80 hours a week in a company that will regain competitiveness? Or would you go to SK Hynix or a foreign semiconductor company that makes enough for Samsung Electronics to work 52 hours a week? Wouldn't a real talent feel bad for a company that needs to be replaced in time to be competitive?

7. There is no need to curse some members of the progressive camp when Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, agreed. If allowed, Samsung Electronics cannot afford to waste money or be afraid of leaking human resources, and SK Hynix does not feel the need to do so. Rather than forcing it to block it and accepting fairly plausible criticism that "the Democratic Party is eating away the competitiveness of the semiconductor industry," it is better to threaten Lee Jae-yong and the management of Seomseong Electronics to fail to manage after that.

8. If Lee Jae-yong's office lost 200 trillion won in market capitalization due to the bureaucracy of Lee Jae-yong, who was filled with financial lines and judges and prosecutors, it's time to get a grip. The 52-hour system prevents Samsung Electronics' semiconductors from doing business?
