One of the things that people who joined Voyager X have in common is that "a lot of information is transparently shared."

Voyager X shares a lot of information. We share how much we spent on labor and advertising last month, what came and went at the board meeting last week, and what reports we submitted to investors yesterday. We also share with each other the big and small incidents that happened today on certain services for granted.

Simply put, I share most things except "reward information for individual members." If you have any particular questions, you can search Slack, Notion, Google Drive, etc. and if they don't come out of it (mostly through Slack), you can ask your team or representative (sometimes through Slack) to get the answer.

The reason why I manage the company so transparently is as follows.

First, for knowledge workers, information is like fuel, or oxygen. For startups, each knowledge worker is very precious, and it is very important for them to do their job properly. Information is indispensable for "knowing" and "properly" things like that.

Second, because it can reduce predictability in evaluation and compensation. Surprise is not good in evaluation and compensation. Especially when it comes to negative evaluation and compensation. In the case of start-ups, it is difficult to be "generous" because the situation is not good. If managers usually share the situation "from place to place", surprises can be reduced.
  
Third, it can be discovered and resolved before a problem grows bigger. It's okay if a tangerine gets hurt and rinsed, but if you leave it alone, you will throw away the entire tangerine box. Here, the tangerine box can be a service or business, or an organization. Making the tangerine box visible to anyone at all times can quickly spot the rinsed tangerine.

When you first join Voyager X, you'll be surprised by its transparency. Over time, of course, the surprises wane and start to feel taken for granted. However, the sense of reverse grows.
