If Ukraine is to take back

If Ukraine is to take back what it lost, it must continue to fight until the end. So, Trump took out the word "invasion." So, what's left is that the loser of the war has to pay damages. Rather than joining NATO, it becomes "Zelensky, you pay compensation and get out."  

During the Biden administration, people believed that Russia, which started a war first, was bad, but during the Trump administration, Zelenskyy, who caused Russia's invasion by recklessly claiming NATO membership, was worse. The international community has imposed sanctions on Russia over the past four years, but they say that it has had little effect. Rather, Russia has only become closer to China, the Middle East and Central Asian countries, and its economy has grown further.

The U.S. view now is that "Nato cannot join, eastern Ukraine is recognized as Russian territory, and the U.S. should pay back (with mineral resources) for its aid." Zelensky has already handed over some of Ukraine's resources to the U.S.

European countries are currently holding emergency meetings because they think it should not go this way.

However, Trump is now thinking, "Friends have eaten away at America. It is time for the U.S. to pay for it." However, the acting administration of Choi Sang-mok, South Korea's top administration, is thinking in the past that it would work out well if it emphasized (as it has done) that South Korea is a blood ally of the U.S. If this happens, Trump will say, "It's a blood ally, so pay more."

From the standpoint of the United States, an ally that interacts with Russia, China, and North Korea is useful. This is because information collection on the trends and intentions of Russia-China-North Korea will be facilitated. However, after the Yoon administration, South Korea became hostile to Russia-China-North Korea.

Zelensky passed the presidential election in Ukraine in early 2025. If Zelensky were to hold the presidential election even now, he would lose. Trump is asking for minerals to help him overcome his weakness. Zelenskyy is now saying, "Give me some of the minerals if you guarantee Ukraine's security." (He had rejected the offer.).
