Economics teaches only the necessary conditions for economic growth. In other words, as production factors such as labor, capital, resources (including land), and technology increase, the production of the national economy increases and the growth rate increases.
However, as economics teaches, the law of diminishing productivity operates due to an increase in production factors. As a result, it is essential to meet the necessary requirements for an increase in production factors to increase the growth rate. In other words, economic growth can only be achieved if the sufficient conditions for operating the law of increasing productivity are met.
Unfortunately, economics has so far neglected the sufficient conditions for economic growth. In fact, empirical research has demonstrated that only 10% of US economic growth can be explained by factors of production, with the rest being attributed to unknown variables.
However, there is no need to be disappointed. This is due to the fact that hundreds of years of global economic history have been accumulated, and there are quite a few policies in their records that have made the economy remarkably grow. Of course, there are far more examples of economic policies that have led to the economic disaster.
If we collect successful cases of remarkably growing the economy, we will be able to not only rescue Korea from the current economic crisis, but also come up with policy measures that will lead to economic prosperity by reviving the economy.
Such case studies require long-term efforts and economic theory. Few politicians or political leaders, whether it is the Democratic Party or the people's power, will make such efforts for a long time
What cannot be found is a more serious problem. Not a single politician who dreams of becoming president right now has made such efforts for a long time. There are no politicians around him who have studied national economy for a long time or are looking for one. It is quite regrettable.
