Now it seems that there are often people who doubt the safety of Cybertruck, but doesn't it all go away just by watching a few videos posted? Tesla responds to safety concerns about Cybertruck design and says size doesn't matter in the "crumple zone."
Tesla on Tuesday sought to address safety concerns for its Cybertruck.
The car's design, which features a stainless steel body and sharp edges, has raised considerable concerns about road safety.
Some have pointed out that the vehicle has a limited "crumple zone," a part designed to absorb energy in the event of a collision.
Crumple Zone effectively reduces the impact on passengers on vehicles in the event of an accident. Tesla used the X on Tuesday to address and explain these concerns.
"It's not the size of the crumple zone that matters, it's how you use it," Tesla wrote in its Cybertruck account.
The company added that in high-speed crashes, the front lower body casting of the Cybertruck is designed to break into small pieces, reducing impact on passengers.
Why It Matters: "If you have a problem with another car, you'll win," Musk said at a Cybertruck delivery event at Gigafactory Texas on Nov. 30.
Musk has frequently mentioned that the Cybertruck is very safe for vehicle passengers with its steel sheath and anti-oxidant armglass windows. He recently mentioned that the vehicle is safe for pedestrians as well as passengers.
"Yes, we are very confident that Cybertruck will be much safer than other trucks for both passengers and pedestrians," Musk wrote on X.
