There was a shocking news that space engineering graduates in the U.S. were unable to find a job, but now it is news that graduates of the CS-Computer Science major are not able to find a job properly.

이제 모든 인간은 직장을 못 구하는시대에 들어갔다.

Until recently, it had been taken for granted to major in CS and work for big tech companies such as Google and Facebook, but with many job cuts in recent years, it is difficult for newcomers to graduate from college to find a job in small companies, let alone Big Tech.

CS was so popular that every university has a department.

Until recently, it was in high demand, so no matter what university you go to, there was no problem finding a job with CS, if not necessarily Big Tech. But now the situation is very different.

CS graduates are still recruited from places that are the envy of people, such as Wall Street, including Big Tech. However, as competition is getting fiercer, you need to be really competent and smart to find the job you want.

In general, Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, MIT, and Berkeley are considered the best universities in Computer Science, but getting in is extremely difficult, with an admission rate of less than 5 percent, but graduating with good grades is even more difficult because everyone is so smart. It should be somewhere like this now. It's not because of the brand power of these places, but because smart students go to these places, other college graduates often lose out in the competition.

While attending school, you have to do two or three internships. It is usually done during the summer vacation of this third grade, but it is important to have an internship at Big Tech or other coveted places.

You have to show great things to others in your internship so that they can be hired after graduation, but it is very difficult because it is the goal of all interns.

Even if you pass through these rough processes and find a job in a place that is the envy of others, you should always be ready to get fired. Every day will be competition and a thorny cushion, and it is difficult to find a job elsewhere if you get fired.

As you all know, CS is a wide field. There has been a lot of demand for programming jobs that Big Tech does so far, but CS engineers who do these jobs are being gradually replaced by AI that my posts have recently emphasized, and Big Tech is also reducing people and paying more attention to AI and Machine Learning (ML) in what they have done so far, so we need to understand these changes well in order to make a living.

It is important to understand this trend of change in space and to combine innovative AI or ML technologies, but it does not mean AI that imitates others without any original technology, such as analyzing Earth photos with AI.

Korean space is still focusing on people building projectiles and satellites/spacecraft and going somewhere, but this era of space seems to have ended.

This means that 5/10 people should do what the existing 100 people do, or 100 people should make 10 or 20 from making a single projectile or spacecraft, rather than not making projectiles or spaceships.

Let's say, for example, 500 people are making a projectile because I don't know how many people are in the anti-coincidence. If the number is reduced to 50 and there is no obstacle to making the projectile, the price competitiveness of the projectile to be made will increase dramatically.

In order to do this revolutionary/innovative universe, we need to use AI or ML, which I keep emphasizing, and most space people think about how to automate a lot of tasks and calculations, experiments, manufacturing, assembly, confirmation, certification, and certification (certification) processes from start to finish building a projectile or spacecraft, and AI or ML tends to be regarded as a different field story.

These innovative visions and perspectives do not automatically arise, but are only possible if there are people who are experienced, aware of the pros and cons from Old Space to Newsface, and study the way the universe is going in the future and how to win competition with others.

It is also the reason why the U.S. universe will continue to dominate the world in the future, but I think Korea considers the process less important and focuses on making results prematurely. If you do something wrong, I think it is a way that the basics are not hard and insolvent things are likely to happen.

The Korean universe I see imitates the American universe, but seems to want to skip the processes and get the results quickly. It is difficult to succeed in Korean space in this way, where creativity and understanding/adaptation to the modern/future are poor, not building apartments on highways.

That's why the Korean-style universe I'm talking about is important. It's because we have to do our own unique universe, because we can find a gap in our own way and avoid competition with space powers.

It seems like a very high goal now.
